Editorial policy

Brand Internet editorial policy

Our editorial policy keeps broadband recommendations grounded in evidence, contract clarity, and clear affiliate disclosure.

Editorial Standards

Brand Internet articles are guided by three standards:

  1. Reader fit first — We judge plans by the household that would benefit, not by speed claims alone.
  2. Contract clarity — We call out setup fees, annual price rises, minimum terms, exit fees, router return rules, and renewal risk.
  3. Availability honesty — Broadband is postcode dependent, so provider verdicts must explain where coverage, install path, or local network performance can change the answer.

What We Do Not Do

  • Accept payment for favourable reviews or comparison outcomes.
  • Let commission rates decide which provider appears first.
  • Hide contract tradeoffs behind broad “best deal” language.
  • Treat a live price or voucher as permanent when the provider may change it.

Updates and Corrections

Broadband offers and terms change often. When a plan, contract clause, provider name, or editorial caveat needs correction, we update the article date and keep the reader-facing explanation focused on the current decision.
